Invisalign First for our Youngest Patients

Before your child's permanent teeth are all in, we recommend bringing them in for early interceptive treatment. Early treatment allows us to guide your child's teeth and jaw development and helps to avoid more extensive treatment in the future. At Let’s Smile Dental, we use Invisalign® First, a cutting-edge system of clear aligners designed for your growing child. Within the Virginia metro area, Dr. Ghatri, Dr. Kang, and Dr. Manny are yielding fantastic results among young patients through Invisalign® First’s quick and comfortable system.

The benefits speak for themselves:

Comfortable

Not only are Invisalign aligners smooth and comfortable to wear, but they are also removable. This makes it so that your Invisalign treatment won't impact the way you brush, floss, or eat!

Convenient

Invisalign is convenient for individuals with busy schedules. By using virtual consults to remotely monitor your progress, we can ensure that your Invisalign treatment won't hold you back from living your life.

Confidence boosting

Your smile is one to show off! Without the brackets and wires that come with traditional braces, you can feel confident showing off your smile transformation along the way.

The Invisalign Treatment Process

To determine if Invisalign treatment is right for you, we will discuss and evaluate your orthodontic needs at your initial consultation.

Using the iTero® digital scanning system, we can create fast and precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will be able to create a detailed treatment plan, including the duration of your treatment time and the exact movements of your teeth throughout your treatment. You will even get to preview your completed new smile!

Your Invisalign clear aligners will be made of Invisalign's SmartTrack® material. Wearing your retainers for 20-22 hours a day is easy, with these smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible aligners.

Your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place, as you wear each set of aligners. Using remote treatment monitoring and scheduling checkups sparingly, we will track your smile's progress and ensure proper movement.

We will provide you with a retainer, at the end of your treatment, that will help keep your smile looking great and will help keep your bite healthy.

What Is Invisalign?

How Does Invisalign Work?
The Invisalign aligners work by gradually shifting your teeth into the correct position. With your aligners, your teeth are able to move vertically and horizontally. In some cases, Invisalign aligners can even rotate teeth into the correct position. Engineered to use the optimal amount of force to move your teeth at the ideal time, the Invisalign aligner does all the work for you. All you have to do is switch to your new aligners once each phase comes to an end. Typically, you will change your aligner set every week. After your initial consultation, your doctor will create a custom treatment plan for you. Our doctors are able to do this by taking 3D images of your teeth and possibly by doing a physical impression.

Taking Care Of Invisalign Aligners
Taking care of your Invisalign aligners is surprisingly simple! By making one simple change to your nighttime routine, you will be able to keep your aligners in great shape. Use a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water to clean your aligners every night. Alternatively, you can purchase an Invisalign cleaning kit that does the work for you. Other than cleaning your aligners nightly, all you have to do is sit back and watch your smile transform!

Maintain Oral Hygiene
Wearing braces can make maintaining your oral hygiene a struggle. With Invisalign aligners, you will find it much easier to give your teeth the attention they deserve. Because Invisalign is removable, all you have to do is remove your aligners, then brush and floss as you usually would!

Day-To-Day Life
Your day-to-day life will not be impacted by Invisalign aligners. Unlike with metal braces, Invisalign does not come with food restrictions. This means you don't have to worry about crunchy and sticky foods messing up your treatment! Since these aligners don't have brackets or wires, they do not have food restrictions. All you have to do is remember to remove your retainers before eating. At Let's Smile Dental, we want you to enjoy your journey to a beautiful new smile and not have to give up your favorite foods!

Invisalign takes the stress out of playing contact sports Because there are no sharp brackets or wires, you don't have to worry about injuring your gums! You can also remove your aligners and put a mouthguard in to protect your teeth!

Invisalign Vs. Braces

When considering "Invisalign VS Braces" It is important to understand that Invisalign treatment is not the same as braces. It is also important to know that one treatment is not better than the other. While the two treatments are similar, there are a lot of differences between the two. Typically, orthodontics will suggest one of these two treatment methods but for different reasons. So, which treatment option is right for you? Do you need Invisalign or Braces? Speak to our orthodontists today! They will be happy to help you decide.

Invisalign And How It Works
For individuals with malocclusions, or a bad bite, Invisalign is a good treatment option. Invisalign’s custom trays are made of clear plastic that goes over your teeth. While wearing the aligners, your teeth will gradually begin to shift into the desired position. Once one set of aligners has done its job, you will switch to a new set and continue the process. Invisalign’s clear retainers are virtually undetectable, allowing you to show off your progress during your smile journey! Because Invisalign is removable, you can brush and eat normally during treatment.

How Invisalign Differs From Braces
Unlike Invisalign, you cannot remove your braces. Making eating and cleaning your teeth more difficult with braces. Braces are made of very noticeable metal and wires, while Invisalign’s clear design can go almost completely unnoticeable. Braces, however, are sometimes a necessity. This may be true for younger individuals. If you go with braces, you can be creative, making them less noticeable. Try using clear braces or getting colors that blend in with your teeth.

Choosing Between Invisalign Or Braces
Because Invisalign aligners are less visible, many adults choose Invisalign treatment. While braces are ideal for individuals with complex bite issues, it is important to consider your own temperament when making your decision. With Invisalign, you are in control of your own treatment, requiring self-discipline. Alternatively, braces are a low-maintenance option that stays on your teeth at all times, doing the work for you.

The Price Of Invisalign Vs. Braces
The severity of your individual bit problem will determine the price of your orthodontic treatment. However, for a majority of people, the cost of Invisalign and braces are comparable. Invisalign's ease of use and convenience can occasionally add to the overall cost. Without speaking to your orthodontics and having an X-ray consultation, it is difficult to say which treatment option will cost more. It is important to discuss your concerns with your orthodontist, to ensure your treatment is a success.

What Can I Expect With Invisalign?

If you are ready to have the smile of your dreams without the hassle of traditional braces, Invisalign is the perfect option for you! With Invisalign, you do not have to put up with the inconvenience of traditional braces. Best of all, Invisalign is a virtually indetectable treatment plan! Your friends won't even know you are in treatment. Invisalign aligners can be removed when eating and brushing. Simply leave your Invisalign aligners in when you are not eating or brushing, and watch your smile transform!

Comfort And Convenience
A large drawback of traditional braces is that they lack comfort. Getting the smile of your dreams shouldn't be uncomfortable. With Invisalign aligners, you won't have to worry about discomfort. One of the major factors associated with discomfort in braces is the required tightening. Invisalign is comfortable to wear all day and doesn't require tightening. Instead, your Invisalign aligners are switched out over time as your teeth move into the desired position. Changing your Invisalign aligner is quick, easy, and, pain-free. If you are looking to correct your smile without having to alter your daily life, Invisalign is the perfect solution for you.

Changing Aligners
Typically, your Invisalign aligners will be changed weekly. However, you do not have to come to the office every week; only once every six weeks for your doctor to check your smile's progress. There is no specific treatment timeframe because each person is different. For more information on the timeframe of your treatment, ask your dental care provider. After your treatment, you may require another retainer to help keep your teeth in place and prevent shifting.

Incredible Results
The Invisalign system works wonders, and it requires very little maintenance or attention. You'll be amazed at how fast and effective it is. Simply put them in and take them out, and you'll get fantastic results that make you want to smile.

Maintaining Your Smile With Vivera Retainers?
After taking the time to align your teeth, it is important to consider how to maintain your perfect smile. Braces and Invisalign are a huge time investment and you likely will not be eager to repeat the process. That is why Vivera's clear aligners are designed to stabilize your teeth and minimize the risk of your teeth shifting back. The Vivera clear aligner is a comfortable, convenient way to maintain your dream smile!

What Are Vivera Retainers?
Vivera retainers are simply a type of Invisalign retainer. They are a clear, plastic device, used to set your teeth into place. If you have used Invisalign to straighten your teeth, the Vivera retainer is highly recommended. However, the Vivera retainer can be used regardless of your previous treatment. The retention phase is the final phase of treatment completion. While completing the final phase of treatment, it is extremely important to follow through with the retention phase.

What Are They Made Of?
Invisalign and Vivera retainers use the same type of technology to keep your teeth in the desired position. A unique type of thermoplastic makes up the Vivera retainers. Using 3-D digital imaging, the company can ensure that you will get the best fit possible. These retainers are also very durable. They are able to sustain wear and handing.
